Blake Ashley

Blake Ashley is currently a junior at Bridgewater College, VA and is a member of the Eagle's football team. Blake's father introduced him to long snapping as a way to earn a spot on the field prior to entering high school. He made the varsity team as a sophomore long snapper. Then as a Junior and Senior, he was also the starting center. Blake's senior year, he played every offensive snap as the team made it to the regional finals. 

Blake attended the Kohl's Scholarship Camp, where he was a finalist that competed for a spot in the Under Armour High School game. After graduating high school, Blake was a walk-on long snapper for the Old Dominion University Football team for two years where he was given the nickname "Torpedo" by teammates because of his aggressive style of covering punts. In the spring of 2021, he transferred to Bridgewater College where he has been the starting long snapper the past two seasons. During this time, he has recovered 1 fumble and been a part of 3 tackles. In May 2022, Blake will start Torpedo Long Snapping Training for youth and high school snappers in Virginia's Tidewater area.
